Surely, we all agree that having upper lip wrinkles or wrinkles anywhere can be emotionally disturbing. But being upset is not going to solve the wrinkle problem.  But here is what will.  You’ll like what you are about to find out.

Many Fake Promises

It seems that every skin care company has the ‘perfect’ answer to your wrinkle problems.  Their formulas are supposed to remove, reduce or hide the upper lip wrinkles.  Who wants to just hide wrinkles?  I found only a few skin care products that really work while most fall flat.

What most companies try to do is ’sell’ the public on the notion that if you just smear on some cream, lotion or potion your problems disappear.  What disappears it the product in the jar with your money. Skin care companies also try to convince us that  if they place collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid in the jar or tube and you apply it according to directions you will be gorgeous in the morning if not sooner.

Hogwash.  Applying collagen or elastin on your skin will do nothing.  You probably will smell better but that is not what the skin care concoction promised.  What we need is not some ‘miracle’ in the jar that says your skin will be tighter, smoother and fresher.

Sure that is what we really do want: get rid of upper lip wrinkles and all the wrinkles.  But there has to be a better approach; one that works-everytime.

So What Skin Care Formula Really Does Work?

First, let me mention something very vital again.  Putting on some ‘magical mixture’ on your skin that contains collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid will not work.  Here is why: Those ingredients cannot penetrate in to the skin because they are molecularly to thick.  But even if they could be absorbed by the skin, the body would reject them.  They are foreign object and the skin will not accept them.

The collagen, elastin and hyaluronic must be made by your body.  It can not be artificially induced to where it will be effective.  So stop searching for the skin care formula that is the cure all.  You will never find what works very well in drug stores, high-end department store and not even in health food stores.

Here is what works:  What the skin needs is a formula that promotes or encourages the body to do what it does best: make collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid.  Because if the body makes it, it will be accepted and used.  So what helps the skin to be encouraged to produce these ingredients?

To start with the skin care formula must have all, not part, natural ingredients that will treat upper lip wrinkles.  Ingredients like waxes, oils and extracts that come from natural sources such as fruits, vegetables and herbs.  For example this natural selections work very well when place in skin care formulas: avocado oil, Capuacu butter, active New Zealand Manuka honey, Maracuja passion fruit extract, Babassu wax, and Phytessence Wakame kelp extract.

What these ingredients will do is give your body and skin the essential fatty acids it requires.  Also they have antioxidants that combat the dreaded free radical gang.

I could go on and highlight the benefits of all of these natural ingredients and what they do for the body and I do on my website but for now let me emphasize this.

If you place any synthetic glob on your skin or inject any solution in to your skin, you will probably be disappointed and soon broke.  Broke more in the heart than in the bank.

If you are thinking of buying an age spot remover cream, I have several recommendations.  The spots can be removed and you can improve the appearance and health of your skin, with the right creams.  But, if you use the incorrect age spot removal cream, you can do a lot of hurt to both your skin’s health and its appearance. 

Ingredients Are Most Vital

The brand names don’t matter.  Your key to finding a safe and effective solution is to read the mark of ingredients.  In order to be effective, an age spot remover cream must contain something that blocks the production of melanin and increases the cell turnover rate.  So, those new less pigmented cells make it to the surface. 

Avoid These Product Ingredients

Hydroquinone is one of the common ingredients in age spot removal cream, but its use has been banned in some countries, because the ingredient may cause cancer.  It can also cause an allergic reaction which includes the appearance of darkly colored bumps.  So, rather than lightening, it can really darken. 

Exfoliants or chemicals that cause peeling are commonly found in age spot removal cream.  The thought is that by removing these darker skin-cells, new lighter cells will more quickly take their place.  The problem is that older people’s skin is highly prone to irritation and inflammation.  Basically, exfoliants and chemical peels do more harm than excellent.  Chronic inflammation is one of the causes of cellular aging.  Some of the common exfoliating ingredients include salicylic and citric acid.

Manufacturers often include a sun-screening agent, because the spots were originally caused by overexposure to the sun.    The sunscreens found in age spot remover cream can cause hurt to the cell’s DNA.  Any sunscreen that penetrates or is absorbed by the skin may still provide protection from UV radiation and burning, but the benefits are negated by the fact that the compounds cause the same type of free radical hurt that UV radiation causes.  Ingredients to avoid include avobenzone, oxybenzone and benzophenone.  But, really, any of the sun-screening compounds that disappear into the skin are not to be relied on for protection from sun hurt.

Safe Ingredients to Look For

Now, here are the safe and effective alternatives.  Look for an age spot removal cream that contains cyperus rotundus root extract.  This is a medicinal root that has been used to relieve skin irritations and was recently shown to block melanin production by 41% at a .5% concentration.  Check the percentages carefully.  A .05% concentration provides less than a 10% reduction in melanin.  No harmful side effects are associated with the use of this ingredient.

Instead of exfoliating or peeling to increase the cell turnover rate, how about stimulating the production of new cells?  Look for an age spot remover cream that contains a compound called CYNERGY TK, which has been shown to increase skin cell proliferation by as much as 160% in as small as three days.
